Our Story
Starling Lounge is a full-service espresso bar in downtown Blissfield, MI owned by Lindsey and Ben Forche. We feature locally roasted direct-trade coffee, local organic teas, and local baked goods. Starling Lounge is also home to Four Keys Brewing, a taproom nano-brewery serving craft beers brewed onsite. We have a small kitchen serving up toasted bagels, weekly curated cheese boards, local salsa with chips, pressed sandwiches, and other snacks.
Our Inspiration
Starling Lounge is a curated experience. What are we inspired by? Swanky 1960’s lounges, the atomic age, outer space, ritzy cosmic lighting vibes, collage art, a moose named Earl Grey, starling murmurations, & above all, the amalgamation of what appears disparate but makes perfect cosmic sense. Stars in space + constellations of earthbound starlings. Mid century + futuristic. Plant-forward fare + an old taxidermy ungulate from our brother’s living room. The craft coffee world + craft beer world. Uppers (sunlit window bar with perfectly WFH-friendly plugs, London Fogs & crema-topped demitasse cups of espresso) + downers (lo-fi music on the vintage Pioneer sound-system, spectacular sunsets descending into the amber gloaming of evening through the plate glass, a pint of something perfect). We welcome you with open wings.
